Come Unto Christ

Something that we talk about in Brother Griffens class is how we cannot save ourselves, only Christ can. There is no way that we can return to the judgement bar and say, I did awesome in this life, let me in! We can't even bring ourselves to God on our own, everything we do we do through Christ. I love this idea of how my job isn't to make myself perfect or presentable to Heavenly Father, but that my goal for this life is to come closer to my Savior and bring myself to Him so that through Him I can return to live with my Father. He brings me to my Father, I have to bring myself to Him. I'm so grateful for my Savior.

One of my favorite songs about Christ is called "Come Unto Christ". One of my favorite lines says, "Come unto Christ, come unto Him, and by His grace be made holy again. He's calling your name, He's waiting for you with arms open wide, come unto Christ."
I love that song and how it mImage result for come unto christakes me feel when I hear it. I know that my Savior lives and loves me, and I know he loves each of us equally. I love the comfort that comes from knowing that my Savior lives and loves me, and that through Him I can do all things. I love my Savior so much.

Moroni 10:32  - Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

This is such a wonderful scripture about what it really means to come unto Christ. This is my goal and all our goal - to make ourselves as Christ like as possible so that we can return with Him to live with our Heavenly Father again.
